Shipeng Wang’s buzzer-beating three-pointer gave China a 78-77 triumph over Slovenia in a thriller on Thursday to place the Asian Champions in the last 16 of the FIBA World Championship
Not many sports highlights get to make it to the top of ESPN’s Top Ten Countdown of the best sports plays of the day…but August 24, 2006 marked the first time (in my memory) where a sports story (Wang Shipeng’s buzzer beater) involving China was number one.
