OK, this has all the appearances of a boring topic, even for lawyers. The article I read was certainly not gripping. I only mention this because food safety, labeling and consumer awareness seems to be moving forward in this country. Used to be a non-issue, and although the enforcement has yet to make a significant dent in the problems out there, I do here more grumbling from people, and there are certainly more consumer-based actions that occur these days. I think we'll see a steady progress in monitoring, enforcement and consumer-led demand for higher standards. In the meantime, don't bother telling me about the possible contaminants in my food - ignorance is bliss.
