The China Economic Review notes:

A new survey has underlined rising anger at the income disparity in China, this time fueled by breaches of the one-child policy by the country's rich and famous. An online survey by state media found 60% of respondents considered it unfair that rich people could buy their way around the one-child law, the South China Morning Post reported. The survey by the China Youth Daily and the popular website QQ found that 70% of people who responded thought violations of birth control policies are "getting serious" while 45% believe "rich people did not fear penalties, poor people could not afford penalties and that birth planning only affected the middle class". State media reported this week that the State Council may strengthen population and family planning policies.
