Dell Goes after Novice Computer Users in China

In a press release, the American computer maker says:

Dell today introduced its new Dell EC280, a complete desktop computer developed for Chinese consumers who are first-time or relative novice personal-computer users. The product was developed by engineers at Dell's China Design Center located in Shanghai.

"Our business has always been about understanding customer requirements, then meeting them with great technology, great service and great value," said Michael Dell, the company's chief executive officer, at a product launch here today. "This is a product designed first for the demands of Chinese customers."
