Guangdong PSB and security bureaus have 800,000 security cameras, or electronic eyes, and will have 1,000,000 by next year

There has been a recent spate in articles, blogs and talk of China’s move towards democracy. Call me cynical, but my experience in China has been democracy as lip service with an increasing perfection of the Chinese police state. More on this shortly. (b/w of Mutant Palm)
