Just came back from 4 days in Beijing where we held our own conference and then I chaired a two-day conference.

We had a great turnout of dedicated folks for our first China CSR Forum (CSR is the abbreviation for the buzz phrase 'corporate social responsibility') in Beijing on Tuesday night at the Crowne Plaza Beijing. Representatives from the NBA and Jane Goodall Institute talked about basketball outreach and NGOs, respectively, in China.

Then on Wed-Thurs MarcusEvans had a CSR Best Practices conferences I chaired, with speakers like Hands On Shanghai's Rich Brubaker, GE's Sydney Lai, Motorola's Yang Boning, Amcham's Oliver Yang and others. I hope evryone found it an informative conference. Best was Rosemary Bissett's post mortem of what happened at Australia National Bank that caused it to refocus and concentrate on core CSR principles.
