In an increasingly competitive market, employers demand height and weight information from job candidates. And in higher education, fitness can now be a reason to reject college applicants, officials say, all other factors being equal.

Interesting story that tells a lot about contemporary discrimination in China. Being an African-American in China, I’ve encountered similar and different taunts and jibes. Fortunately I can escape it, to a certain extent, by coming home. But for the the members of Qian Jin Zu He, escape is not really an option and that makes their story all the more intense.
