More on '10 reasons'

Back in September, I did a post on long-term residents of China and their lists of "10 reasons you know you've been in China too long." I invited foreign readers to send in their own lists of "you know you've been in the United States too long when..." The following came in over the transom this morning:

1. You know that the person who told you "What's up?" actually didn't
ask you a question
2. You are accustomed to the idea of eating in your car, at your desk,
and basically wherever you are
3. You think that Louisiana is within a driving distance from Georgia
4. You're at your desk, and you don't even notice the guy at the next
desk who uses the speaker whenever he uses his phone
5. You find it normal to first notice a car by the sound of its radio,
rather than by the sound of its engine
6. At times, you forget that credit cards are not the only possible
method of payment
7. You find it normal that private companies contribute financially to
politician's campaigns
8. You think that Monaco is in Asia
9. You are accustomed to seeing icing on a cake
