I Guess the New Labor Law Really Is a Big Deal

From the Asia Wall St. Journal:

Hong Kong groups protested over the stabbing of a labor leader in Shenzhen as tensions grew ahead of new Chinese labor laws set for Jan. 1.

I prefer litigation to old fashioned traditional labor unrest, but then again, I’m not prone to sentimentality.

Funny thing. Even after this kind of news, lots of companies will still not be in compliance when Jan 1 hits.
