The newspaper USA Today is looking for a full-time News Assistant to join its Beijing bureau. Please apply if you are energetic, resourceful and inspired by a deep interest in the changes sweeping China. Responsibilities will include: finding stories/sources, monitoring Chinese media, arranging interviews and trips, translation and some administration. You will need strong research and people skills, a good news sense - and a sense of humor. Strong English skills, willingness to travel and professional experience in the media are also preferred. Work hours are generally normal office hours, plus occasional evening and weekend work.
