Job Posting: FDC Reports seeks China-based business reporter

FDC Reports, a division of Elsevier Health Sciences, is looking for an experienced, bilingual business journalist to cover developments affecting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in China. We seek a take-charge editor capable of developing news and feature stories, and sources, with limited supervision. The successful candidate will be able to process complex information and create specialized content for an informed audience. This journalist will track news and develop contacts in coverage areas which include: regulatory and legal developments; financial news and deals related to multinational and Chinese companies; drug pricing and reimbursement issues; and drug approvals and submissions. Qualifications: • At least 3-4 years experience working as a business reporter. Experience covering the pharmaceutical industry is desirable, though not essential. • Fluency in Chinese and English (written and spoken). • Strong writing, analytical and communication skills. • Ability to turn around complex stories on a tight deadline. • Some travel may be required.
