Shanghai, China (March 19, 2008) /China Newswire/ — Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) China will be holding their annual Regional Competitions (Beijing, April 10; Dalian, April 12; Shanghai, April 17; Hong Kong, April 19; and Chengdu, April 26) and the National Competition in Shanghai on May 16-17, 2008. SIFE is looking for over 400 executives across China to review SIFE student projects and decide who will represent China at the SIFE World Cup in Singapore in October.

SIFE student teams are led by business advisors from top companies across China to create outreach programs that bring economic benefits to their communities. Projects range from teaching farmers better farming techniques to building business plans around making handicrafts. Projects are judged on five criteria: market economics, entrepreneurship, success skills, financial literacy, and business ethics.

Judges are asked to devote a few hours at one of these competitions and find it to be a very exciting and rewarding experience. SIFE students represent the best and brightest university students from across China and many are hired by large MNCs such as KPMG, P&G, BP, Unilever, General Motors, IBM, etc.
