Personal release
Aggregated Source: Jiang's Information ServiceI will delay my visit to the Foreign Ministry scheduled next Sunday, because the Ministry is busy with tackling the concerning rescue and relief work.
I will meet Alessio who will come to China to work in an Italian company in Chaoyang District next week. He also tells me that the earthquake disaster has made front page in most newspapers and foreigners show their concerns for it.
I sent my best regards to Ms. Xiang on mother' day, and then I asked her about the situation in my hometown which might be affected little by the earthquake via text message on May 13. I also said that I was hoping that I will meet her in Beijing next month after the National Entrance Examination.

China earthquake eposes a widening wealthy gap: a news report from the Wall Street Journal says that the earthquake is throwing a spotlight on the widening gap between the nation's rich and poor. It is clear that the quake has affected most rural areas and smaller cities and towns which mushroomed from the farm field in the rapid urbanization in recent years. Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, only 55 miles away from the epicenter Wenchuan County, suffered relatively little in Monday's earthquake, despite its proximity to the epicenter. However, Beichuan, a county about 100 miles from the epicenter, was almost laid flat. –Wall Street Journal.
